Enjoy Rome and discover how and why to propose educational role- playing games with Educational Live Action Role Play
Edu-LARP is a playful methodology applied to educational purposes that is increasingly appreciated not only in the educational field but also for local development projects and interventions for social change. It is possible to structure Edu-LARP activities related to any type of school subject or cross-cutting competence to actively engage students, encourage collaboration, creativity and practical learning.

Methodology
The methodology of this course is based on the following key principles:
- Theory and practice: The course combines a solid theoretical basis on edu-larp with many practical sessions, allowing participants to experience the process directly.
- Experiential learning: Educators actively participate in role-plays, experiencing the dynamics and challenges of edu-larp to gain an in-depth understanding of the approach.
- Participatory design: Participants learn to design edu-larp scenarios collaboratively, involving students in the creative process.
- Critical reflection: A strong emphasis is placed on analysing and reflecting on play experiences to identify educational goals achieved and areas for improvement.
- Curricular contextualisation: Educators learn how to integrate larp into educational programming, aligning it with learning objectives and curricula.
- Technical support: The course provides technical skills for the production of scenarios, costumes and sets.
- Discussion and sharing of best practices: Educators participate in classroom discussions on how to implement edu-larp in specific contexts, sharing ideas and strategies.
- Evaluation and feedback: Ongoing evaluation and feedback is promoted among participants to improve the effectiveness of edu-larp experiences.
- Resources and networking: Participants receive resources and have the opportunity to network with other educators interested in edu-larp.

PIERA DE GIRONIMO
Teacher of Italian L2/LS since 2012, since 2017 I have been working on the new competition class A23 - Italian language for foreign mother-tongue learners at CPIA 10 in Formia, also dealing with the management of Erasmus+ projects. I have been a trainer and responsible for DITALS (Didattica dell'Italiano Lingua Straniera) exams since 2014. Since 2020, I have been an adjunct lecturer at the University of Cassino and Lazio Meridionale for the Chair of Language Didactics. At the same university, I also studied Europlanning. One of the most relevant topics for me at the moment is immersive didactics, in particular Edu-Larp, which allow to reconcile the concepts of learning by doing and learning by feeling. I have been role-playing with passion since 2016.
PAOLO BRIZIO
Born in Turin on 01/08/1983, I obtained a diploma in electronics and telecommunications at ITIS Pininfarina in Moncalieri, as well as attending numerous technical courses specialising in industrial automation of an electrical/electronic nature. During my working career in the industrial automation sectors, I count a ten-year presence, both at an associative and voluntary level, in very well-established realities in the LARP sector. I founded 'Proxima APS' and worked as a designer, script writer and set designer in the field and preparation in numerous play and educational projects (EDULARP). In parallel, first as a player and then as a coach, I am a trainer and instructor at Moncalieri Rugby.
